A long time ago, on the location of today’s hermitage there used to be a healing spring which was left as a miraculous gift by God himself. Because the spring had sown a lot of discord between people, God decided that it should no longer perform miracles.
In the early 20th century, this blessed spot became the location of a stone church.
In 2002, the small church was turned into a hermitage for nuns with cells and a summer altar. If you are already in Sălişte, do not hesitate to take a walk to the hermitage.
