2 x 2 RACE

The 2X2 RACE is the only mountain-running race in Romania run entirely above 2,000 m — extremely technical, and one of the hardest mountain ultramarathons in the world. Its 45 km course, with 4,200 m of vertical gain, carries runners across Romania's two highest peaks, Moldoveanu (2,544 m) and Negoiu (2,535 m), along the spectacular main ridge of the Făgăraș Mountains.
