Tuberose Fair

Guided tours through the tuberose gardens, cultural activations, musical evenings, and book launches — all in Hoghilag!

You'll get to discover local flavors, fragrant stories, and the authentic atmosphere of the village at a floral celebration that blends beauty, tradition, and community. The Land of Tuberoses is home to around 40 growers, more than half of them running intensive commercial plantations, and the tuberose itself is on its way to receiving the Protected Geographical Indication certification.

The first weekend of the Land of Tuberoses Festival brings to the stage near the Evangelical Church in Hoghilag artists ready to keep the good spirits flowing.

On Saturday, the event opens with the infectious energy of the Turnișor Brass Band. Next up is Sara Mihai with her folk songs, Rareș Chele delights the audience with a recital on the flute and clarinet, and Ioan Ivan wraps up the day with a folk music recital. At 5:00 PM, Father Necula invites you to a heartfelt conversation for the soul, and Luca Vasile welcomes you to the launch of three volumes of poetry.

On Sunday, you can immerse yourself in tradition at the Parade of Traditional Costumes, which brings you even closer to the local heritage. The Dance Ensemble of the Dumbrăveni Culture House, together with Luminița Maria Dejan and Traian Stoiță, will get you dancing to folk music and rhythms, and Rareș Chele returns to bring the first weekend to a beautiful close.

Don't forget — the 11th edition of the Land of Tuberoses Festival is a special one! It takes place on August 1–2 and 8–9, so that everyone enchanted by the beauty and fragrance of the flower gardens has plenty of time to enjoy the full experience.
