Sibiu: a medieval town with Saxon influences, Sibiu is one of the most important tourist destinations in Transylvania. Its historic centre stands out thanks to its rich architectural heritage: The Bridge of Lies , The Brukenthal Palace, The Council Tower or The Journeymen Travellers’ House - vividly coloured, centuries old buildings, towers, bastions and fortification walls. The uniqueness of the city is given by the ensemble of the three central squares - The Large Square, The Small Square and Huet Square ‒ communicating via mysterious passageways and narrow streets. Beyond all these, Sibiu is also distinguished through the large variety of museums and cultural events, through the bohemian atmosphere of the terraces from the historic centre. In 2010, Sibiu was given three stars by the Michelin Green Guide.
Axente Sever: in the fortified churchyard, on the location of the former storage facilities they put together a museum which tells amazing stories about the lives of the Saxon colonists.
Valea Viilor: UNESCO site with Saxon houses guarded by high wooden gates decorated with local motives, stone cobbled yards shadowed by vines, cultivated gardens spreading to the hills and an imposing fortified church from the 15th century.
Şeica Mică: the basilica built in the 14th century and fortified two years later is renowned for its “well yard” - an unconquerable refuge built inside the church and unique in Transylvania due to its defensive system.
The ponds from Mândra are a natural birds reservation with numerous aquatic and raptor species.
Ocna Sibiului: spa resort renowned for its natural therapeutic factors: highly concentrated salt water lakes, sapropelic mud. Here there are two modern treatment facilities and an open-air system of salt lakes.
