In 1968, in memory of the famous Badea Cârţan, a shepherd from Cârţişoara, a museum was inaugurated in the centre of the commune. Nowadays, its collection includes glass icons, books from Badea Cârţan’s collection, old photographs, ceramics and dowry chests.
In the museum courtyard you may see the reproduction of a typical mid-19th century peasant house with a local interior.
