Cheese and traditional brandy festival

Awarded the title of Best Tourism Village in 2022, Rășinari warmly invites you to a new edition of the Cheese and Țuică Festival – a celebration of tradition, authentic flavors, and the joy of being together!

Over the course of the two-day festival, visitors are invited to discover the authentic flavors of Mărginimea Sibiului by tasting a variety of traditional products: local cheeses, slow-cooked lamb stew in a cauldron, preserved lamb (sloi), shepherd’s bulz, lamb pastrami, and many other delicacies prepared with care and passion.

The festive atmosphere is enriched by a vibrant artistic program, featuring performances by folk ensembles and beloved traditional music singers who bring the spirit of the region to life on stage.

A signature moment of the Cheese and Țuică Festival is the making of the Festival Bulz – a true symbol and local tradition. This rustic culinary delight is crafted from a generous portion of polenta, sheep cheese, and sour cream, offering an explosion of rich mountain flavors.
